| If you work restaurants or bars this is an excellent item packed with comedy and story line which is ready to perform over and over again. The performer patters about a new invention that fits neatly into the pocket, as he brings out a small black box. He explains that of only 1000 made he is lucky enough to have the 317 one! On the lid of the box is imprinted in gold the number 317. On turning the box end for end he explains that this is a lie (317 upside down) which is L.I.E. which stands for Liquor Intake Exposure, in other words it is a portable breathalyser! On taking the lid off the box inside is revealed a solid gold block which is brass plated to protect the gold! Embedded into the center of the block is a small round, *liquid crystal sensitive reactor*. The performer then asks a spectator to blow onto the reactor. The lid of the box is replaced for 5 second and then opened again to show that the reactor has changed to green. Another person blows on it and the lid is placed on. After a pause of 5 seconds the lid is removed to show that the reactor has changed to red. Unlike the first spectator this one has failed and is over the limit. The performer now blows on the reactor and the lid is placed on again and after a moment the lid is removed to show that it changed to amber i.e. just below the limit. Finally the performer asks a spectator looking the worse for wear or at the least a little bit tipsy to blow on the reactor and the lid is placed on again. On opening the box the reactor has changed to black or is it? Certainly not because the block is tipped out of the box to reveal that a hole has been burnt right through the center of the block! As the performer tells the spectator that he shouldn't drive for at least a week! The box with the Breathalyzer is 1 3/4" in size making it easy for carry in table hopping. Includes 8 pages of instructions. Condition as new. | |
