| This is of mahogany wood measuring 18 1/2" long x 7 1/4" wide x 4" high and will hold a tremendous load of solid articles and the like as you could imagine. This is in the style of much older pieces like candle drawers as you work first from one end and turning around open the other. With this one there is no knob just a flat surface that is held closed with a hook and screw head to prevent premature opening. First one end is drawn almost all the way out showing empty and closed and after a few moments the other end is worked for the load. This can be a very useful item and quite a bit of work went into its manufacture. Condition fine. | |
