As most know it the Spelling Bee is a 7 compartment container to house as many cards with letters of the alphabet. This one custom made by a puppet maker using 8 compartments.

The effect is showing the board which has 8 transparent windows showing a scramble of letters. The magician turns the board around showing the numbers 1 through 8 on the opposite side and removes all of the cards and allows a youngster to mix them about.

The cards are handed back to the magician and one at a time a number is chosen for the next card to be inserted in that slot position. Keep in mind all of this is free choice yet the finish comes when the magician turns the board around and by magic a name slogan or what have you is spelled correctly for all to see!

The only cards that came with this unit are the ones you see spelling the word magic. Included is a deck of blank face playing cards which may be used to make up letters of the alphabet to go with this fine unit.

The additional black piece seen in photographs acts as a lid to cover the slots when carrying and is also for use as a stand to stabilize the unit on your table. All made of wood with clear plex front and nicely done. It is 22 1/2" x 3" x 1". The cover makes it 4" high. The letter cards in now measure 2 5/16" x 3 5/16". No instructions. Condition very fine.
