A pen and a normal looking piece of clear plastic is examined by a spectator and the pen is held on the open palm of the spectator with the plastic held just above the pen so the spectator is able to see the pen directly through the plastic or lens.

The lens is given a twist and the center of the pen becomes transparent and then completely invisible with the spectator being able to see right through their spread fingers precisely where the pen was a moment ago!

Another twist of the lens and the missing center of the pen suddenly becomes visible! As if that is not enough the magician slowly twists the lens and in full view the center of the pen visibly distorts then melts itself into an extreme twist!
