Before you now is an elusive well built piece of apparatus by Alan Warner. Likely if you have started a collection of Mr. Warner's fine effects you will not have the Spirit Cabinet.

The effect begins with the magician raising the top of the cabinet showing the empty interior. Three white oblong plastic cards are shown to be blank and slipped into the cabinet through a slot in the top. A spectator is called upon to mentally select a playing card and the spirits of the cabinet are asked to write down the name of that card.

Raising the top again the magician removes one of the cards to see if the spirits have successfully named the chosen playing card but the card is still blank. The spectator is asked to name the card so everyone may concentrate and perhaps link up with the spirits of the cabinet.

The top is raised and another card removed and this time it has some writing upon it. Unfortunately it was a Chinese spirit that has written the chosen card in his own language!

The spectator is now asked to concentrate on a color instead and with hopes that contact will be made with an English speaking spirit. The last plastic card removed from the cabinet is completely blank!

Holding the cabinet in hand and displaying its empty condition the magician states "You must all be wondering if there are really any spirits in the cabinet but let me assure you that there is always at least one French spirit permanently in residence." The cabinet is closed and then raising the top once more it is revealed that a miniature bottle of French Liquer which completely takes up the space has now made an appearance!

Finely made of wood including cards and carry bag and instructions. In very fine condition and definitely an early Warner item you must have.
