An original made by Loyd. A 3" block having a hole to allow for passage of a rod is shown with Asian designs on all sides. A handsome wood frame cabinet is shown and the decorated block is placed within from the top with the audience being able to see its entry through the opening at front. A rod is shown and inserted through the sides showing that the block is securely fastened in place with both ends of the rod in full view.

A hat which may be borrowed is shown and placed atop the cabinet crown down. Now at the will of the magician the block is seen to pass upward from the cabinet where it is now shown within the hat and examination of the hat will show no harm has come to it. There is of course a story which speaks of the block as being a chest for safe keeping of precious jewels also having a story line of trusted coolies holding the ends of the rod night and day.

Both the block and frame cabinet have the Loyd made trademark stamp. Hat not included. Includes instructions. Condition very fine.
