A lantern the style of which the Town Criers would use is taken from a tray showing it about. Returning it to the tray the magician strikes a match and lights the lantern. Picking up a newspaper the magician flips through the pages and recites a verse that begins with "A man named Diogenes who had trouble galore was not satisfied and went looking for more". Taking the paper he wraps it around the lantern and pokes a hole in the paper showing the lantern lit and still there.

Removing the bundle from the tray the assistant helping throughout tilts the tray in a vertical position holding it still the bundle of newspaper is crushed and tossed aside showing the lantern has vanished but not without suspicion by audience that it is some how concealed behind the tray the assistant is holding. The magician takes the tray from the assistant and turning it around shows lettering stating "Good Night".

A new battery for the lantern light will be needed as the one in place has long since expired. The newspaper with light is not present. With all this in mind be aware this is a very scarce item. Includes instructions. Condition fine.
