Turned of wood standing 11 1/2" high to the top of the finial on the lid finished in a gold/bronze. A classic of Thayer wood turning. Rice poured into the vase and covered with lid. An orange is shown by the magician and vanished. Taking the vase the magician removes the lid and spills out the contents and instead of rice the orange has made an appearance and no trace of rice is seen. Includes instructions. Small area of darkening on the base and minor finish absence at the very top of the finial otherwise very fine condition. An elegant and hard to find Thayer wood turning that is mechanical in operation. | |
