Made by Fenichel. This remains a classic as the magician takes a white silk and a black silk placing them both in a spotted can saying that the silks will change color. The silks are removed and the magician states that the white one has now changed into black and the black one has now changed into white.

With groans from the audience the magician offers to repeat the effect changing the silks back into their original state. Once again the audience is not impressed so the magician passes his hand over the can where suddenly the white spots vanish and makes a throwing to the interior. Now when the silks are removed the black silk is seen to have white spots over all and the white silk seen to have black spots over all!
