Description

This is a beautifully made and well finished piece of apparatus that was originated by Billy Day and Harry Stanley of Great Britain. Lovey Duck lives in a little wooden house with a slide up door and the magician explains that Lovey is always scared of an old tom cat that's always hanging around.

After Lovey Duck is shown an the door slid back in place he is placed into the top. Apparently the little duck is not so certain that the cat isn't around for he suddenly pops up over the top of the house to have a look around and then pops back quickly inside again!

The magician does not see this but the children do and let him know. The magician finally sees the little duck and places him down inside the house saying "He'll be quite safe inside". The magician pulls the front door up and now there is no sign of the little duck and completely filling the opening in the house is that old tom cat that the little duck has been so scared of.

The cat is removed and calls for what's on the other side has the magician showing it is just his tail as he turns the cat around. The house is closed and the cat placed inside with the magician saying "I'm sure at least where ever Lovey Duck is he will be perfectly safe" at the same time the old cat is popping up and down causing great excitement from the children.

After the cat goes back into the house the front door is opened and this time the cat has vanished and a giant egg is in the house. The magician takes the egg and makes a motion of breaking it open and out pops Lovey Duck from within!

Words cannot begin to convey the quality and beauty of this apparatus from Great Britain. Released by Supreme Magic in 1984 including 5 pages of instructions. This was found in unused condition. A black plastic panel covered with black material has a bend-break not affecting the use for which it was intended.  If you do anything with children's entertainment you should not pass this by.
