Description

It stands to reason that the master deceiver Richard Himber would come up with his own version of the classic Sucker Sliding Die Box and what you see before you is his invention. Going by the name of King's Block this was in a very small run limited to no more than 25 in all not saying that 25 were ever built. The first 6 of these went in order to *Dell O'Dell *Doc Tarbell *Cantu *Frakson *Ade Duval and *Milbourne Christopher.

In Mr. HImber's version of this classic effect you begin by showing the walnut wood box with ornate brass hinges having four doors two at the front and two at the rear along with 3 1/4" block in Gold and Black decorated with Coat of Arms design. The block is shown and dropped into a hat (not supplied) to free the magician's hand so the box may be shown with all four doors opened showing nothing being concealed within. The doors are closed all but one and the block is removed from the hat and placed in this open door and the door closed.

A sucker routine is used by tilting the box to one side and opening the doors on the opposite side showing the block has vanished. Doors closed and the box is tilted toward this side and then the opposite side doors are opened showing block has vanished. After much back and forth with the audience all four doors are opened showing the block has completely vanished and the block is removed from the hat!

Once again the block is placed in the box as before with the routine going the same as before and at the finish all doors are opened again showing the block has indeed vanished. With all eyes now upon the hat the magician reaches in as before and this time instead of the expected block an orange is found within and the hat shown completely empty as it was at the beginning of the effect.

Includes instructions. Condition fine. A very Scarce original Himber item.
