A hard to find item, circa 1940's, that is a well built mechanical piece of apparatus clever by its design and working. The magician exhibits a wood box having tiered metal feet in a size overall of 6 1/4" wide x 6 1/8" deep x 6 3/4" high.

Showing the box all around the magician pivots up a latch at the top allowing the four sides to lay down as each side is connected with two brass hinges. The box is shown around in this fashion with an inner box having an open grill front like the main cabinet has as well.

The magician takes up this inner box and the main box is picked up and the base is turned toward the audience showing it all around. The inner box is placed back with the outer box and the sides are raised and fastened together as before.

The inner box is removed and the open top is turned toward the audience giving a last look to the bottom interior showing nothing contained within. This inner box is replaced and the audience clearly sees the magician's hand through the grill of both boxes.

The magician may now produce many silks and all can see that the silks come from the very center of the box. (No silks supplied.) The instructions state, the load may be 25 or 30 silks 18" in size or the equivalent in quantity.
