This quality apparatus by Petrie Lewis Manufacturing is of nickeled metal and stands 10 3/4" high and has a weighted base for steadiness in operation.

The magician states to the audience that he will cause any card that is selected to rise upon command. Upon shuffling the cards he states that one half of the deck will be placed in the houlette and the other half given to a spectator for selection. After one card is selected the magician removes the houlette part from the stand and holds it out for the spectator to place his selected card in followed by placing the houlette back on the stand as all eyes are upon the stand the chosen card in smooth fashion rises up and away from the balance of the pack!
