| Magician places a chrome combination lock through a button hole of a spectator’s coat or a belt loop of trousers and announces he is going to mentally transmit the combination of the lock to the spectator. After making a few magic gestures the spectator is asked to call out four numbers and to use these numbers to unlock the lock. The lock does not open and this can be repeated two or three times with the same failure. In desperation the magician picks up a small glass and drops a few coins into it and asks others in the audience to also contribute so the spectator can go to a tailor and have the lock removed. This gets a laugh and then the magician shakes the coins in the glass and pours them onto the table asking a spectator if he wants heads or tails. Once this is done the coins in that orientation are removed and this action is repeated until all but one coin remains on the table. The spectator is told to look at the date on the coin and use this date to unlock the combination lock which it does! Condition very fine. | |
