| Magical effects made of brass have a certain special appeal largely due to the fact that the machining of these precious little gems is of such a high caliber. Beyond the trick value of any of the brasses one has to appreciate the thinking that goes into the effect. In this effect a tube into which a cigarette just fits is shown to have a narrow division at which a collar is made so that a single edge razor blade may pass through a cigarette placed within. One could say a much scaled down version of an effect known to all being Sawing a Lady in Half and patter may be themed around this. A cigarette is placed within the brass tube and sealed with a cap prior to the passing through of the blade. Upon removing the blade anyone watching knows the cigarette must surely be divided but the cap is removed and the cigarette is let fall out in complete and whole condition! Immediately all may be handed for examination by the spectators which adds even more to the mystery. Includes instructions. Does not include single edge razor blade. Condition with tarnish, very fine with precision fit on gimmick. | |
