Description
The performer comments about the number of world famous comedians who used the cigar as a prop during their stand-up comedy routines. The performer picks up a box and removes a beautiful "Cigar Savor", a totally opaque, gleaming black plastic tube with a screw-on top, gold trimmings and a large gold pocket clip. The performer explains that the tube, which is sold in better stores everywhere, is designed to hold a partially smoked cigar, putting it out and keeping it fresh until it is removed from the container for later use. The performer also displays three cigars. One contains a label that says, "Property of George Buns." One that states, "Property of Milton Berle." And the third, a label that reads, "Property of Groucho Marx." The performer states that while he turns away, a freely selected spectator is to mentally select one of the three comedians and to place the cigar belonging to that comedian inside the Cigar Savor. The tube is totally opaque and may be freely handled by the spectator. He is to then screw on the cap and hide the remaining two cigars in his pocket or behind his or her back. When the spectator has done as instructed he is asked to hand the "Cigar Savor" to the performer who immediately drops it into the cardboard container it came packaged in, and places it on the table. The spectator is now asked to imagine that he is picturing the name of his selected comedian in his mind as he reads a joke, in his best comedic style, printed on a card handed to him by the performer. For example, the spectator reads aloud the following: "I recently got a waiter's job in an insane asylum...I serve soup to nuts! O.K. How about this one? Yesterday my uncle was so thirsty(how thirsty was he?) he was so thirsty he drank a quart of shellac. He died...but what a finish!" Depending on the spectator's comedic delivery, or lack thereof...the audience will invariably laugh. The performer looks at the spectator and states, "That's the worst impersonation of Groucho Marx I've ever heard! You are thinking Grouch Marx, aren't you?" The spectator admits that he is. The performer turns the cue card around so the audience can see that printed on the reverse side is "Property of Groucho Marx!" The performer retrieves the two hidden cigars and hands a fresh one to the spectator to keep as a souvenir of the occasion. Cig-Mental is that clean. No funny moves. No gimmicks. No sleight of hand. No electronics. No memory required. It's commercial, contemporary, fast, funny, baffling and easy to do. You receive a "Cigar Savor", three cigars with special labels, three "Joke" cards, and three spare label sheets. Includes 3 pages of instructions. Condition as new.
