This is a handsome piece of apparatus made of polished wood being a box that holds chop sticks each having a different number printed on one end. The spirit box is built with a door held fast with a catch on the bottom to gain access to the many chopsticks within and this is opened and shown to the spectators.
With all the chopsticks back in place and the door closed and the catch fastened the performer may give the box a shake and show that a single chopstick will dispense through the small opening at the top in one of the corners. The idea is that a spectator may hold the box and shake out one chopstick at a time and the performer may divine which numbers will be randomly shaken from the box.
If desired of course variations may be the adding of numbers together along with the use of currency note numbers book page numbers and the like. The box along with its stand measures 12 3/4" in height and includes illustrated instructions. The mechanics of this apparatus make it an effect easy to perform. Condition very fine with original box.
