Performer ties a string, between the top of two chairs, or other suitable objects, and about 21 inches apart and about 3 feet (but any distance high is ok) from the floor, leaving the end of one string draped over the chair and down to the floor. Across this chair having the loose string, the performer lays his coat, touching, or over, the string. The performer then ties to the string two balls, one being red and the other green, leaving them hanging from this single cross string. Balls are hanging about a foot downward and about 3 inches apart. Performer then sits on the floor behind the balls, at first close enough to touch them, and carefully sitting upon the loose end of the string which is laying on the floor under him. At his command, first the red ball will swing like a semaphore or pendulum and then at the performer's command the red ball stops and the green ball swings. Then, although performer lays down on the floor away from the balls, at his command the green ball stops and the red ball swings, and this continues alternately as long as he desires, and the audience can not possible see any control performer exercises over the swinging of the balls, it is positively undetectable. At the conclusion of his patter the performer arises, walks over and takes the balls off the string and the string and coat off the chair and destroys the "evidence".
