A true clockwork mechanism in which the two wheels work in conjunction with a pressure blade to cause the cards to rise one at a time with the wheels stopping with a delay of several seconds before the wheels once more engage to cause the next card to rise. Everything about this is handcrafted to the highest degree of perfection even down to the handmade key which winds the clockwork. This is trademark stamped twice and Jon Martin through and through. This item was acquired from Jon Martin and owned by Richard Himber. The Jon Martin items are the absolute finest and few are fortunate to claim ownership of the genuine article and those that do will tell you nothing else compares. Jon Martin passed away in 1968 at the age of 87 years and there is no evidence of his equal today. | |
