This is scarce and a beauty. A beautifully made precision metal cane that comes apart near its mid section and measures total length of 34 1/2". Aside from supplying a hat you will also need an oval metal plate with a small plug shape in the center with which to place in the hat so the hat may be set into place in the tip of the cane acting as your table top. A tracing of the metal plate is included. When you see the beautiful finishing of metal and how just by gravity the legs drop out of the knob and extend outward you will no that it could be made by know one other than a craftsman. This is indeed the finest I have seen and was only shown in a couple of the very early Tannen catalogs. A hard to find item. Condition very fine. | |
