In the early 1970's the Driebeck Die from Bob Driebeck of Holland came to us by way of Ken Brooke in the form of a large die over 5 inches square. The effect is of a red Die that is spun in the hand telling of this gift that a friend sent to you and your appreciation of it being such a nice Die that you desire a case for it.

When contacting the friend that gave it you are advised that the case is on the inside of the Die. Opening the Die and taking out the case you open the case and place the closed Die within the case closing it which makes an impact on those watching. Everything has been shown fairly along the way.

The box is nice but you speak again to the friend and say that you would have preferred a Die made in China to which the friend responds to open the box you are the magician to make it happen which you do and when opening the box instead of the red Die it is now a China Tea Chest!

It had been rumored for years that there was one such Driebeck Die that was special above all others as it was made in Micro Size and this is the one being only 2 1/4 inches in size for intimate close up work.

To my knowledge there are no others and this is indeed a very special piece. This is not a molded piece but rather all hand crafted.
