Seldom comes along and made available for acquisition personal performance apparatus of well known figure heads in magic. This is one such case and one that was custom built for Alexander by Thayer. You will more readily recognize Alexander by the beautiful lithograph images left behind most notably the caption THE MAN WHO KNOWS.

The tub itself is made similar to a barrel and has wire strapping at top and bottom along with the metal insert vented to hold duck. Along with this are two large oval trays of metal to complete this clever livestock production.

The tub of wood itself has two separations in the wood however the wire strapping is still holding all in place. Also included is a large metal tub with black insert of metal with wire grid bottom that is emblazoned with a dragon design.

This includes the provenance paperwork from John Pomeroy dated June 20 1994 attesting to the history of this piece as he was the agent for the estate.

All pieces of course show use but none the less are part of magic history of Alexander. A unique piece of apparatus.
