Description

Working in Vaudeville from 1908 until 1920 Mr. Grdina had many famous magician friends including Harry Houdini and Karl Germain.

Both cards are in frames measuring 11 3/4 inches wide x 15 inches high. Both pieces came with some of Mr. Grdina's effects and the one dated 1907 has the name Freund with the other having a picture of a very young Grdina and this one with damp staining on bottom 2 inches of card.

Mr. Grdina was born in Slovenia and was brought to America when he was 5 years of age. He passed away in 1974 at the age of 89 and these pieces from his own effects are a rare find.

3. Once auction has ended winning bidder will receive an email invoice with amount due including shipping/handling/insurance and 6.75% tax if residing in the State of Ohio. International bidders will receive an email with shipping options/charges. We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Money Order and Check. Payment is due upon auction close unless other arrangements have been made prior to bidding.

6. Please note: This is a standard auction format with no proxy bidding which means the bid you enter is what will automatically show and be taken as what you are going to pay if you win the item. The system also allows for you to increase your bid amount if this is a bidding method you wish to use. This process is also helpful in reaching a reserve amount. Shipping/Insurance charges are in addition to winning bid amounts. What you will not have at the end of the auction is the addition of Buyer's Premiums that can range from 15% to 25% and more.
