There has become more of an awareness of Alan Warner in recent years and I predicted many years ago that his works would join the ranks of high quality micro magic. This piece is no exception and is an original effect from Mr. Warner.
Weaving a story of Fortune Tellers the performer exhibits 3 tablets along with a plain wood Talisman and handsome wood housing to contain the Talisman. The 3 tablets are shown to each have a different color hieroglyphic. The plain Talisman is placed in the wood container and set aside after which the 3 tablets are turned face down and shuffled about so that no one knows for certain which tablet is in which color.
The spectator is asked his free choice of any of the 3 tablets and the 2 not chosen are put away. The spectator is asked to turn over the tablet to see which color has been chosen. The spectator is then asked to pick up the wood cover and tip out the Talisman and it is seen to be now decorated with the same color symbol!
In addition to the beautifully constructed mechanical apparatus the Falcon decorating the cover is also a separate piece of wood hand cut and smooth finished then affixed to the cover. This is a well thought out quality piece. Includes 4 pages of illustrated instructions with story line and routine. Condition very fine.
