This handsome wood frame has a hinged door affixed that allows for access to the interior.

The top edge of this door is rounded smooth similar to what has been known as the Presto Card Frame. In this case a printed paper giving the appearance of a playing card is within the frame and this paper has a longer piece printed black so as not to be seen in the frame.

With this arrangement the frame may be covered with a silk and when pulled away the black end flap can be picked up and taken away as the silk is removed having the card vanish from the frame or a different card held with a small dab of wax to the inside surface of the door with the fake card print in place then an effective change of card will occur.
