An original Harbin effect where a spectator selects a card that is placed back in the deck and cut a number of times then 5 or 6 cards removed and placed on the carpet with the magician stating that the selected card is one of them that no one knows which one.

A small horseshoe magnet on the end of a string is shown and held over the backs of the cards and touched to them one at a time where suddenly one of the cards sticks to the magnet and is lifted up by it with the magician requesting the spectator remove it from the magnet and it is found to be the selected card!

The cards may be examined and even the card the magnet just picked up is no longer attracted to it!  The deck of cards may be borrowed as none are supplied.
