Description
Performer displays a small picture frame containing a photograph of a woman. Her name was Lydia Marsh and she practiced spiritualism 100 years ago. In addition to her trance medium abilities, Lydia Marsh also told fortunes for her clients. Performer suggests that they attempt to contact Lydia Marsh. The portrait is covered to place it in darkness, approximating the seance room conditions under which Lydia Marsh worked. Cards similar to the ones that Lydia used to tell fortunes are mixed. The spectator is asked to slide one of the cards off the deck on to the table. A short seance is conducted during which the performer asks Lydia to give a sign that she is there. After a moment or two, the spectator removes the handkerchief covering the portrait and discovers that, under the glass of the frame, Lydia has something in her hand. It is a small playing card. The face down card on the table is turned over. They match. It is certainly clear evidence that Lydia has contacted the assembled sitters. Includes instructions with addendum. Condition very fine.

3. Once auction has ended winning bidder will receive an email invoice with amount due including shipping/handling/insurance and 6.75% tax if residing in the State of Ohio. International bidders will receive an email with shipping options/charges. We accept payments via Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Paypal, Money Order and Check. Payment is due upon auction close unless other arrangements have been made prior to bidding.
